— Why Coat a Garage Floor

Bare concrete is the wrong choice in the mountain west.

Untreated concrete absorbs everything — oil, road salt, antifreeze, water. In Utah and Wyoming winters, that absorbed moisture freezes and expands, spalling the surface from within. A proper coating doesn’t just look nice — it stops the chemical damage that destroys garage floors over time.

01

Salt & Chemical Defense

Road salt is brutal on concrete. A sealed epoxy surface blocks it entirely — no more white residue, no more spalling, no more concrete dust on your shop floor.

02

Hot-Tire Proof

Cheap coatings soften when warm tires hit them and peel up as you back out. Professional multi-layer systems are engineered to stay locked down regardless of tire temperature.

03

Easy to Clean

Sweep, mop, done. Oil, antifreeze, mud, and tracked-in snow wipe off a sealed surface. Compared to bare concrete or carpet, it’s not even close.

04

Brighter Workspace

A reflective coated floor bounces light up — your garage feels twice as bright with the same lighting. Better for hobbies, projects, and seeing what you’re doing.

05

Home Value Add

A professional epoxy floor is one of the highest-ROI garage upgrades you can make — appraisers, agents, and buyers all recognize the upgrade.

06

Built for the Climate

We don’t install Phoenix systems in Wyoming. Every coating we spec is rated for freeze-thaw cycles, sub-zero cure conditions, and the abuse mountain garages take.

— Coating Systems

Three systems. One right answer for your floor.

Not every garage needs our top-tier system. We help you match the system to how you actually use the space and what your budget supports — no upselling.

We help relocate items, then mask walls and adjacent surfaces. Your garage is fully protected.

02

Diamond Grind

Diamond-tooled concrete grinding opens the pores and exposes fresh aggregate for permanent bond.

03

Repair & Test

Cracks chased and filled. Spalls repaired. Moisture vapor tested. The work that prevents failure.

04

Base + Broadcast

Pigmented epoxy base coat applied. Flake (if selected) broadcast to refusal while coat is wet.

05

Topcoat & Cure

Clear polyaspartic seals the system. Walk-on in 24 hours, vehicles back in 48–72.

— Common Garage Questions

Quick answers before you call.

Most residential garages are installed in one day. You can walk on the floor in 24 hours and return vehicles in 48–72 hours.

Plan to keep cars and major items out of the garage for 3 days total — that’s it.

Almost certainly not. We’ve coated floors that looked like disaster zones — heavy oil staining, multiple crack repairs, spalled edges, old failed DIY coatings.

Our prep process — diamond grinding, crack chasing, spall repair, degreasing — handles almost any concrete condition. We’ll tell you honestly at the estimate if a slab is genuinely beyond saving (rare).

Yes. We use cold-cure polyaspartic systems rated down to 0°F. Star Valley and Heber Valley winters don’t stop installation.

Winter scheduling actually has advantages: shorter lead times, immediate availability, and you go into spring with a finished floor.

A standard 2-car garage (about 400 sq ft) typically runs:

Tier 1 Solid Color: $2,000–$2,800
Tier 2 Decorative Flake: $2,800–$4,000 (most popular)
Tier 3 Heavy-Duty: $4,000–$5,000+

Pricing depends on concrete condition and prep required. We provide a firm written quote after seeing the slab.

Yes — and these are some of our favorite projects. Larger garages and detached shops benefit even more from a quality coating because of the floor area visible at once.

Pricing scales with square footage. Per-square-foot rates often drop slightly on larger jobs since mobilization costs are spread further.
